The Cabin at Hellbender Farm is available to rent through airbnb.  We also have other options including camping on the farm and airbnb room stays at the farm.

The cabin at Hellbender Farm is the perfect retreat for anyone interested in a true mountain getaway. It is an old renovated granary that has been repurposed for seasonal rentals.  In the summer, escape from the heat of the lowlands with temperatures 10-20 degrees cooler than the Piedmont.  In the spring enjoy the sounds and crispness of the Appalachian greening, in the fall admire the amazing leaf display and spend cool nights at the farmhouse.  Because we have livestock on the property, no outside pets are allowed.

10 minutes from cool, funky Lansing, NC including Molly Chomper Cidery, Old Orchard Creek General Store, and PIe on the Mountain

10 minutes from Grayson Highlands State Park and Elk Garden/Appalachian Trail access and 15 minutes from the beginning of the Virginia Creeper Trail in Whitetop, VA.

The space:

Upstairs loft: Accessible by ladder and available as a sleeping loft for 2 with queen mattress.  

Downstairs:  Pull out futon that can be used as a couch or as a pull out sleeper for 1 person.

Front porch:  Giant front porch great for sitting with morning coffee and looking out over the farm.  

Kitchenette:  Small kitchenette available for simple cooking (no oven).

Bathroom:  Small "wet" bathroom with combined shower/sink/toilet area..

Guest property access:   Guests are free to roam the grounds as long as they stay out of fields occupied by the sheep, close all gates behind them, and stay out of the barns on the lower section of the property.
